As the title says, I'm a newbie member just introducing myself. I'm Andie and currently have a 300tdi that is a beautiful low mileage example - 22 years with a genuine 127,000 miles...obviously has slightly more since I got my hands on it. It's my project machine, currently going through it engine wise before starting on upgrades and cosmetics.
My little beauty is going to be going off road so the upgrades will be the usual suspects - lifter kit, front winch with reinforced bumper, flared wheel arches with new off road tires, sump and diff guards and chequer plate all around (you get the picture!)
I happened upon this site when looking for help on resolving a recent issue I had with my landy. I lost 2nd, 4th and reverse gears but could still get 1st, 3rd and 5th. After happening upon a post from a member who had a similar problem, and after investigation it turned out that the bias plate had broken and the loose piece was blocking the lower half of the gearing gate; so kudos to you guys and gals!
I thought you all seemed a like a decent crew to hang around with, so created an account and here I am! Pleased to meet you all
