Time for a new exhaust and it’s a bit of a nightmare. What I have is standard up to the front joint of the centre silencer. From there on it’s bespoke by the look of it.

I had a guess and ordered a drop pipe for a 1989 petrol and hoped I could alter it,but it’s not even close. The drop pipe that’s in currently is 60mm OD as photo

but the joint is different

Any ideas for a better drop pipe ???

Doubt this helps but this is what I did on a 200 disco into 110.
Used a Steve Parker conversion down pipe which is in 2 pieces that clamp together, the end that is supposed to fit your existing system just seemed a bodge to me.
So I got a whole new system including the down pipe, fitted the SP down pipe and using the end few inches off the standard downpipe and a bit of measuring ,welded that bit to the end of the SP down pipe. I then had it galved.
If I need exhaust parts now I just buy standard off the shelf parts(except the downpipe of course).
The downpipe is circa 12 yrs old and still looks fine.

The standard 19j system will suit a 200 conversion if 200 is from a Defender,if from Disco the down pipe needs to be made up. Old center box is a 200 one The new box is a 19j item.At a guess I recon your Landy has been fitted with a proper 200 system.[except downpipe if engine came from a Disco]

I think I have it sussed. I've ordered a Disco down pipe that will go from turbo manifold to silencer, and a 60 to 50 mild steel reducer. That way I can cut the flare off the wrong down pipe I have and weld on. Also ordered some exhaust olives for joints. Fingers crossed as its adding up now. I don't have the time to get it galved @landowner but have some high temp paint to give it a coat.

The flexi in mine makes it easier to route. It's been on about four years without a problem and was just painted, if you want paint to stay on the turbo use emulsion

You can fit an olive in between the two flared pipe joints, and that will make them a match ;);)

That is the same as mine, steve parker stainless down pipe, followed by a fairly standard 19j system. Cut down intermediate pipe to fit the down pipe, second intermediate pipe to replace the centre silencer and then a standard rear section. has been like that for years now with no problems. The only problem I get is the damn bripart exhaust sections only seem to last about 18 months before needing to be replaced. But even at that rate its about 20 years before a stainless system pays for itself.

+1 for this - downpipe from fleabay, then 19j all the way. I did have to shorten the downpipe to middle box pipe, but it was easy enough.

Have just looked on steve parker and it's a little cheaper  (link) I am sure it not that price when I bought it!

Ok, it’s fitted. I cut the end off the Disco 200tdi front pipe and welded on a 60 to 50 mm reducer. Fitted like a glove.

Slotted the end and fitted with a 54mm clamp.
