Not going anywhere near any tratters, or any landrovers of any kind. :)

Sat in my boat on the quay at March, waiting for the sun to back off a bit, it is roasting hot here.

Then I will walk to Sainsburies, have a quick trawl for orange sticker bargains, then untie and move on.

We're always being told tratter are better than freelanders because they can tow more. So what are you tratterers towing this weekend. Come on own up.

I took ma hippo for a drive int country because he's fault free and has been for quite some time.

No more towing trailers. Converted a lorry:)
Out Sunday horses & Landrovers
Monday green laning

Will be good with the sun shining.

What you up to hippo?
Which part of the world are you?

Shame about the funerals, seems to be a bit of a feature as you get older. :(

Good plan about the tratter, though. You can hitch it to the back of the hearse if it breaks down.

Going to be hot today. Good opertinity to park yer pig wagon int sun to dry out the damp. Take yer pigs out or they'll over heat. Make sure they have access to shade.

And get the paddling pool out for the pigs anorl. When they've finished yer can have a bath in it. :p

25C here today. I am painting on the hull. Had to do primer coats before 11am, or the paint would boil on the dark blue hull.
Now will have to wait until after 6pm, to do the undercoats when it has cooled down.

No pigs on board.

Does yer have to use special paint as it's always int water or is it just zinc rich?

Rust resist primer first if the metal is bare. International undercoat followed by International topcoat if it isn't.

That is above the waterline. The bit underneath gets painted with bitumen, but the boat has to be out of the water for that.

It's been hot lately so I was wondering... it's said the army cook fried cooks ont tratter bonnets in the sun. Any of you lot tried it last bank holiday weekend when it was hot or at any other time?
