I’m picking up my “new” TD5 D2 in a few days and originally one of the first things on the list was to de-egr it however the new MOT rules have kinda spannered that plan.... I had a quick chat with my local indy LR specialist and they intimated that as long as the egr and cat look like they are there and the emissions are passed then “they will be happy” ....
My thinking is to use a coke-can to create a thin blanking plate to place in the exhaust feed and use the dremel to remove the internals in the main bore of the egr....
That way, all will remain visually normal and therefore a pass....
What are people’s thoughts on this?
