I wouldnt mind but its already cost me about forty quid.

Thats my biannual trip to Rhyl down the swanny. I'll miss throwing a pack of aspirin into the Sandcastle foyer and as the local addicts scramble, sneaking my family in for nowt.

When we eventually see it in action I'm gonna post you a cheque for £6, seeing you squirm over the cost of the glass has been worth every penny :D

I think you've done pretty well for only being £52 in! Tell ya what, I'll match @dieseldog69 and send you £6 for your effort - only mind when I see the finished article installed and being used!
There you go your back down to £40 spent - stop moaning and get on with it!

Sod off you lot. Your really taking the pizz now.
It’s throwing it down this morning. I’m all set to get the fork lift out and heave it outside for a blast. I just hope the chains hold out.

Let’s see if it stops by lunchtime.

The sun came out mid morning so it wuz time for a fire up.

I only had a bit of 3x2 scant so that had to do. It obviously wouldnt get as hot as hardwood and would no doubt be smokier but not a bad idea for the first warm through.

2 teabags??!!

you like livin dangerously? :p

So is this gonna be inside ur tin tent with input/output to the ootside?

:EDIT:

nvm i answered the question by reading the thread from the beginning...please tell me you're gonna be selling these, would love one in the back of the 110

You couldnt afford one........................:p

No way I could knock one out anywhere near the price of a chineese cast one. The only reason I did it was because most of the materials came from scrap bits I had lying around. I did have to buy a few feet of steel bar and the paint cost a bob or two. A bit of rope and gasket was cheap enough.

Oh and £12 worth of glass.

Priced up materials if purchased and available. Like I say I had most of it just lying around.

Out of test scuba tank £20-£40
Laser cut top plate and bottom ring £40
Bar stock for door frame and door £20
Legs £15
3mm plate for flue box £6
Tank nipple and stop end for bottom £5
Grid grate £6
Stainless fixings £6
Paint £12
Pie tin for flue £4
Seals, glue and gaskets £5
Glass £12
Pipe £8
Flue £30
Bobbins for through wall £40
Cowl £20

Stupid money when you can get one from machine mart for £150.

Machine mart will be ****e

I've looked into getting one for the 110 as i'm not overly keen on the lpg side of things
I think this will be too hot for mi trailer. The back of a 110 is even smaller although less insulated. You could deffo go less complicated just for heat. The issue is fuel. Too small and your wood will have to be tiny.

Keep your eye out for a scuba tank. It'll be a start. ;)

So i've been thinking about this kind of heater to intergrate into the rear door of the 110.

On ya drawing, you've got an input for the air into the cumbustion chamber, what does the other one do??

Cheers

The secondary air intake allows air to pass up the back of the fire/flames so it’s heated and comes out above the burning timber. This re ignites the smoke and burns it off, making the unit smokeless.
