Hi everyone, I've finally moved to Bristol from Italy, and in April I will bring my Discovery here.
Since I heard that after 6 months I will need to convert the plate and the driving licence, I think I'll need some help to understand a few thing.
Hoping that someone will have the mercy to explain those things.
Best regards
Antonio

Hi MrS1
First of all, thanks for the reply.
Then, first thing I've noticed, is the price of the insurance, pretty scary. Left steering wheel and my age (27) doesn't help really, I were asked 9k pounds on most comparison site. After the conversion, will I get better price? Currently in Italy I'm paying 400 pounds, there is absolutely no way to keep the car Italian?
Let's start with those
Thank everyone

£9k to insure it ??!!

No way ! Not in a million years is it that much. If you want to insure here you would need it on UK plates, so keeping Italian ? Not really....

Try a specialist 4x4 insurer like Adrian Flux or Brentacre

Guessing insurance is probably sorted by now but advance insurance brokers are brilliant they cover both my disco and my lhd ford. Plus there office is local only across in wiltshire
