what landy do I get for off roading

hi guys,
apologies if this is in the wrong section or not but need advice on what landy to get to do a bit of off roading in. my budget will only stretched to a discovery but need to know weather I go for a 300 tdi or a td5. I've had 3 of the 300 tdis and feel I know enough about them but are the td5 better? and what's the parts cost difference between a 300 and td5. not looking to do Heavy off roading as I will also need it to pull a trailer with a car on it. thanks in advance.
