Hi, just joined up. Been reading threads and info for a number of years.
I have just bought a 1998 Disco 2 (auto) with a thought to replacing my trusty 110 csw (1993) with it.
Now I have 2 LRs to play with and a real dilemma over which to keep.

The sharmans of old say "Just because the 110 looks shabby there still life in the old girl yet".

Keep em both. You will always need a spare car if you own a disco. Welcome to the site by the way.

Col
Its possibly not an option to keep both. I also have a small ford van i use to travel to work and back. Maybe I could get rid of that I suppose.
Surprise with insurance; 110 85 quid Disco 250 quid, can't think why.

What? Don't say that everything has been good so far. It drives nice even though it's an auto.
The chassis and bodywork is great and its only done 75k. The ride could be a bit better with stiffer springs and new shocks!!

Don't panic - the learning curve with LR is both quick and severe! It's early days yet lol

Bugger 400 miles. Try to use it. You know that using is good for a vehicle unless you garage it like a priceless classic (heated garage, carpets n sheite). A 110 value is only going one way- to the right. A few miles a week will help. I appreciate the sting is the running cost. I have a choice of trucking to my park n ride commute in either a 2008 Polo or my 33 year old landy. You can guess which I prefer but only take the landy on feel good days (Friday ). Take stock if you can SORN gives you time.

Keeping both LRs and getting rid of my transit connect is the other option.
Whatever I do its not going to be an easy decision.
I'm running the disco daily for the time being and will have a thorough look under it and through it over Christmas.
Will not be selling anything til New Year when I will have had enough time to weigh everything up.
