I'm contemplating selling my 2002 P38 2.5 diesel HSE Braemar. Our Discovery 2 needs more welding for its MOT so I'm thinking of replacing the rotten old chassis for a galvanised unit. Unfortunately I cannot afford to keep the Range Rover and do the work on Discovery plus seeing as the Discovery earns it's living and the Range Rover is a third car it reluctantly needs to go.
Anyway to the Range Rover, Registered March 2002 it one of the last and as its a Braemar it's one of only 25 special editions P38's, they did 15 diesels and 10 V8's.
It's based on a HSE spec but also has walnut tables on the rear of the front seats, a playstation in the boot and screens in the rear of the front head rests. This one (as was all of them) is Blenheim Silver with black leather.
All the usual refinements you would expect from one of these vehicles including the Harmon Kardon sound system, 18" Hurricane alloys, front and rear lamp guards.
She has just rolled over 100,000 miles. Full Service history with the last being completed by our local main agent in October of last year at 97,263.
Mot until November and tax until the end of July.
During the 18 months I have owned the vehicle I have had the following work completed,
4 x new air suspension bags,
4 x Boge shocks,
New discs and pads,
Gearbox oil cooler pipes replaced,
In tank fuel pump (whilst they had the tank down they replaced the brake pipes that run over the top of the rear axle).
New air flow meter,
New water pump,
New heavy duty battery,
Reconditioned the alternator,
New front and rear propshaft UJ's ,
New heated front windscreen,
New pollen filter,
New under the windscreen foam filter (between the wiper arms)
I have replaced the original Alpine head unit with a very nice Single slot CD head unit, I still have the original head unit and the autochanger is still in the boot (it all works I just wanted something I could plug the MP3 player into).
There are 2 keys for the vehicle one of which has just come back from being refurbished.
The viscous fan has been replaced with a Kenlowe unit,
There are no leaks, nasty noises, or warning lights.
The vehicle is located in North Cornwall
