Hi all. I'm looking at doing a px for a 2002 Freelander. Only thing is been told the Passenger wiper does not work. The driver side one does. Would this be an easy/cheap thing to fix?
Why?Welcome, walk away from it........
Welcome, walk away from it........
I was only approached about it yesterday. Meant to be viewing it tomorrow. Ive been doing a lot of reading online on what to look out for. Only problem mentioned is the wiper hence why I thought I'd ask about that. But will ask/look for other things you have mentioned. Thank youHave you done your homework prior to viewing the Freelander.
They are prone to problems on the back end, if there are different makes of tyres fitted to either side.
One way of hiding the problems would be if someone removed the rear prop shaft, this is usually explained as being removed to assist fuel economy.
They are good vehicles as long as you have done the necessary checks.
They can cost a fair bit to rectify if the above mentioned refers to your purchase
I'm sure the Freelander guru's will be along soon to assist you
Good luck
Thank you... but I wasn't asking if it was okay to buy.. I was asking if it was easy to remedy or if it was maybe a sign of something else. However, thank you for taking the time to reply!!Please don't be offended but if you have to ask if a cars OK to buy with a broken wiper then you should not be buying a freelander they have many faults including the above regarding prop shaft removal. Faulty wiper also means its an not failure so you would all ready be buying a car that's not road worthy.......... Use the forum search box and start looking for the buys check list for this car.
Good move tho coming here 1st mite have just saved you a world of pain
That's great. Thank you (diesel)Is it petrol or diesel?
