Ok guys I think I have it in a virtual drive so the rave 01 is working but it won't allow me to eject it !! So I can move to a folder ? Keeps telling me it's already open Then I tried exactly the same with the microcat it's as tho it wouldn't allow me to put on the same drive kept telling me it was corrupted will try again tomorrow

I could only get microcat to work on windows 10 (64 bit pro) by installing a virtual XP machine (free from Oracle).

i have finally got the rave01 , the microcat does not seem to work ( well i cant seem to get it to work ) if some knows how to do it i am all ears & eyes , Also am i right in saying that everytime i wish to open a rave 01 or 02 or 03 i have to unmount the one i am using ? Neilly i followed all your instructions but unfotunatly i have to open it from my pc ( as its called in win 10 ) as clicking on the install then "Discovery II freelander folder " it does not give me the green LR icon in there i will take some screen shots to show you

From memory, you can only use them one at a time, I think it's down to the version of Acrobat that's embedded with each RAVE.
To run the RAVE for the Discovery, from your screenshots, you'll need to double click on RAVE.exe

+1

Just stick an icon on your desk top for the 3 of them and rename to suit

I've got

icon.jpg

everytime i click on the Rave exe it puts a icon on my desktop which i then have to delete so as i have a discovery 2 that is the one i am going to keep as when i close the computer down the virtual CD stays open so i don't lose it the next time i start it

Yes, that happened to me too, until I got it under control and realised that it was the icon which is needed to start the application. All I did with it then was to put into a folder on my desktop where I keep all the bits to do with my Disco.
It will only write one icon for each RAVE to the desktop, so if it really irks then leave it where it is and just hide it.

so am i right or wrong in saying if i was using rave 01 then i wanted to use rave 02 i would need to unmount rave 01 first ?

Unfortunately there's some conflict between win.10 and that .iso format cos i can't work with RAVE on mine either so i have PDFs with every section from RAVE and work with those

I'm having difficulty working out what you mean by "unmount it"
I have all three versions of RAVE installed on my PC. OK, it is running Win 7, but just as a check, I have installed it quite satisfactorally on a Windows 10 machine.
If I wish to open the RAVE for the Disco, then I have to close whichever other RAVE is open, in other words I can only open one RAVE at a time. I don't have to uninstall or remove any version, just close one and open another.
As you open one version it will put its own start icon on the desktop. So after opening and closing each version in turn you'll end up with three RAVE icons. These icons are the ones you double click in future to start the program.
As I've already said, if you don't like them on the desktop, then the thing to do is to COPY them into a nice folder wherever you want then rename them to whatever you want in there, and then HIDE, not delete the ones on the desktop. RAVE will check if there are icons in place on the desktop and write them if they are missing, but it doesn't know whether you've hidden them or not.

on win 10 if you click start then my pc you will then see or i see CD Drive (F) Rave p_ Numbers , if you right click on that i see cyberlink virtual drive if i left mouse click there it gives me the option to disable the virtual drive which i presume is the same as mount

Rave opens as normal , but i just delete it then try the one i renamed to TD5 if that opens then i just delete the new one its put there yet again

Just delete the one that you renamed to TD5 and leave it at that.
As I said, RAVE will check the desktop as it opens to see if there's an icon to open it, if not it will put one there. If the icon is there it will just over-write it so there'll be just one icon.
You can't open another version of RAVE while you've already got one open, you've got to fully close the first one down, and that includes closing the little Acrobat icon on the taskbar.

ok it worked i only have 1 icon on my Desktop Rave , going to leave at that as it appears if i rename it that's when it puts another icon on my Desktop

You guys have confused me. I know that is not difficult.......

I have the same folder as you have shown @Evo_uk on your CD drive in the screen shot above . But mine is in a separate folder on my desktop. I wrote the directions last night as I actually downloaded the file. I scroll down to the first LR green oval in that folder ( Discvoery ii Freelander )and open Rave.

Cheers
