What are your favorite modifications? It doesn't have to be anything extreme, just something you like or are particularly proud of or even something you just must have.
Get your pics out, its an excuse to show off.

my rear disc conversion is probably mine, bit overkill, works extremely well and looks the nuts.

I like that DD: I guess you'll be offering a conversion kit soon? :)

Does it still work with the ABS and TC?

yup everything works as it should, i probably wont to be honest, the cost of a kit would be astronomical as you'd have to do the front too.
Big four pot calipers and discs on that end.

Can't find the picture as I did the mod in 2009.
But the egr delete is my favourite mod. I cant even begin to calculate how much money it's saved me.
Mike
Ive got one on my L series and one waiting to go on my new Td4. problem is I didn't use either one before so i cant give any comparrisons

That's my reason for doing it, the Td4 is full of crap, well it is German after all:D

Once you get used to the td4, you'll find its hugely tunable, well past my skills.
You can even add a second turbo to it, add another 50cc with a longer stroke.
It's a very slippery slope for a man of your skills.
I'm just scared of destroying my auto box with the extra torque:oops:

I've been talking to the other DD who's been looking at a bigger turbo. There's quite a bit you can do with them.

This ones meant to be the, done on a budget work hack. The blue ones a bit ott and I think a lot of people look at it and think I can't do that. So this is meant to be the basic one to show what can be done on a DIY budget.

.. or even something you just must have.
( re: td4 )

the air-intake mod .. coupled with the egr delete

( edit to add .. pic .. )
https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/intercooler-problem-mod.126484/page-2#post-3853325

that ..
plus .. being able to use a particular pierbug maf with its maf-remap box
( due to its 'response' below 1600rpm compared to the bosch / factory maf-map ..
( 'response' .. as in .. how the engine responds when one 'stabs' the go pedal
( or 'quick-nudge-with-toes' in lieu of 'stab' .. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~
could get by without the other engine add-ons .. just ..
mmm .. although i think the straight thru backbox is also a must-keep .. for me ..
~~~~~~~~~~

mod wish list :
disc brakes on all four
side exit exhaust ..
( so i can keep the tailgate window wide open when i want @ over 40 mph ..
( without needing the cab-fan on full to combat exhaust fumes drawn in the back window
.. 'n decat .. :)
some side rock guards ( rock-sliders ?) .. maybe ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
first mod i wanted were a larger intercooler ..
but figured after watching the a.i.t. temps live
and .. in uk temps .. and at on-road speeds
it wouldn't be much of a gain .. if any
I will be watching with interest.
Have a look at this web page, gives a good timeline of the engine.
Handy to know what turbos, heads etc might fit with minimal work. Not much cheaper than a scrappy mod;)
BTW, haven't had chance to congratulate you on the LRO feature, nice one.:D
Mike
So far it's got a 50mm lift, camber correction, snorkel :D, set of hoses to go on and the EGR delete. I'm getting some 17" wheels which will be black. Looking at 235/65/17 tyres possibly general grabbers if funds allow
yeah DD .. great news ( !! ) re. the LRO piece ..
was waiting to read it first .. but yet to make it to magz retailer ..
will do .. even if i never ever read lro again .. :)
