L322 towbar wiring

hi guys i recently asked about getting a towbar fitted to my vogue 2004.
everyone on here was saying get a dedicated towing harness.
below is the email ive had off the towbar supplier.can anyone tell me what to do please.

I recently spoke to you regarding a towbar for my range rover vogue 2004,
you told me you only offer 1 type of tow bar for that a fixed flange, and also you said i would only need the bypass relay.
ive been doing some asking on the range rover forum etc and everyone whos had a towbar fitted has told me to get the dedicated wiring harness, is this something that you can get for me please?if so how much?

Hi,

I can reassure you that for your year of vehicle you would be fine with just standard electrics and a smart bypass relay.

I have double checked with our supplier and they don't even manufacturer a designated kit for a Range Rover before 2013.

If we had the opportunity to sell you an additional item it would obviously be good for us but you really don't need it and we do not believe in overselling on unnecessary items for the customer.

Towbars direct in Warrington sell dedicated wiring kits, genuine westfalia, reasonably priced. I've just bought one myself . Your guy might be right that a standard one with relay might be ok but why take the chance when you can get OEM so cheaply?

yes i will order from these as only £80 buy wasnt the dedicates kit not a poxy bypass relay

I suppose as long as it bypasses the rear parking sensors, inhibits the air suspension and doesn't freak out your LCM then you should be fine, I fitted the genuine tow bar and electrics by westfalia and is perfect

Very rare in my experience to get such a direct response rather than a "our most important people are our customers and we always put you first etc etc "
