looking into that but quotes are all around £1400 (fitted) and i cant fit it myself.

Plenty of TD5 being broken on ebay,might be worth buying a g/box from one of those,then paying to get it fitted.

hi mate, i looked into that, P38 box won't fit on a D2. different bell housing and TC.

i've spoken to james and i'm trying an oil change first, as my symptoms could apparently be sticky valves. got to be worth a try first i suppose...

Yes it is,i used a LUCAS oil i got from ebay,made a huge difference to the gearbox on my P38 autobox.
