Hi guys
I am in the middle of replacing my Def 200tdi engine for a Disco 200tdi engine, anyway over the weekend after i removed the Def engine and started swapping stuff over to fit the Disco engine i got my self mixed up and not sure if i have fitted the oil cooler pipes to the cooler right ( position ) does it matter or not ?

I also came to realise that the Def 200 power steer pump-box pipe wouldn't the Disco 200 pump and before anyone ask's i have tried swapping the pumps over, everything fits except the Disco's double pulley as the Def's boss is bigger than the inside of the Disco's double pulley and the pulley fixing bolts are different ( thicker on the Def boss thinner on the Disco boss ) and i think the holes are in a slightly different configuration aswell, so i need a Disco 200tdi pipe and need a part number please :)

Have a look at the Glencoe web site, lots of useful stuff. You can buy the disco pipe and take a bend out to make it fit. (heat required) This will save a lot of swapping. Alternatively, you could get Pirtek to modify your existing pipe

Ok would a blow torch do it as that is really all I have to heat it up :)

Are you not just swapping all the defender items into the disco block?

The blocks are the same. Would be much easier
As regards the cooler pipes yes, i have got the engine end right its just when i lay'd them on the newer engine i think they crossed them selfs over.
Although the power steer pumps look the same the fitting on the pipe is different to the fitting on the pump, on the Def pipe its a banjo fitting and on the disco pump it looks like the pipe should screw into the pump

Don't see why not. All you're trying to do is heat it enough so that it doesn't fracture when you take one of the bends out. If in doubt, I'd take the pump and defender pipe to a Pirtek outlet and ask them to put a different end on the defender pipe.

Yeah for some reason when I click on the item number to pull up the part number it doesn't do anything
You have to click on the "+" sign to display the part numbers... here is a screenshot as an example...
