What other bulkheads are 'drop-in' replacement for a 300tdi one?

I think it would be a good idea for me to keep an eye out for a replacement bulkhead.

My truck is a r380/300tdi 110.

Ive read a load of posts, but not got a 100% definitive answer.

eg -

200tdi/lt77 - ?
300tdi/r380 - yes
td5 - ?

etc.

(i know nothing about petrol motors at all!)

I know some can be altered to fit, but, i guess, im asking what setups have the same part number bulkhead?

Thank you.

holes where there should not be holes.

plan is to acquire another, get it sorted, probably galvanise it, and only then take my existing one out (and then possibly do the same to that one)

i dont want some huge motivation sapping down time - i want the part available to fit before taking the vehicle off the road.

Check the prices for prepared bulkhead and the cost of getting one repairing and prepping then galvy ...
Do the sums first ... :)

ashcroft are, what, 800+vat + delivery

you can get bulkheads off ebay that need, say, £100 of yrm parts for about a ton.

galvanising isnt big money, but i dont know about acid treatment

alternativly, i figure, £300 or so for a unit that does not need work (?)

that might avoid the aid bath, and be good to galv directly.

either way, i reckon less than half of the total, delivered, spend from ashcroft. even if i add 100% overspend, i still think it will be cheaper (although a whole load more work!) than ashcroft.

I bought a refurbed galv one from Ashtree Land Rover. I ordered a 1996 300Tdi, but they supplied a 200Tdi by accident. I didn't realise until I was refitting it and things weren't quite right. Ashtree were great and offered to send another straight up, but it was too late as I had already had it professionally painted. Issues I can remember: location lugs for electrical connector blocks, relays etc inside the engine bay either not there or in wrong place. holes for clips along top of bulkhead inside engine bay for brake pipe and cables not there. Location lugs for relays inside to right of steering column not there, holes for door switches in door posts not there (haven't solved this one yet so will have issues with interior light and alarm to sort out) While non of these are critical, they have been a pain and time consuming to sort out.
Galvanising is not that expensive and the acid bath treatment is in with the price and is a part of the process. You'll have to factor in a sand blasting and paying for welding unless you can weld yourself.
