For reasons most people are probably aware of I'm looking to either protect the battery lead from the battery to the underseat fuse box.
Should I be looking to encase this or is it long enough to run inside the cab?
I've also heard the battery negative should be protected too. Does anyone have any suggestions how to go about this too?

Good idea, I think I have some somewhere. Would bolt croppers go straight through?

I doubt it as its 20mm outside dia, you can get 25mm as well and as its right up tight to the bottom of the seta box above the gearbox would be hell of a job to try and get croppers up there.
You could do that then cable tie some old battery cable on the outside of it so they think thats the main lead?

would it not be an idea to fit a secondary smaller battery under the bonet for example just to run the alarm system etc.

I have been thinking about that. I have plenty of motorbike batteries that I could install under the drivers seat....

Have a butchers on here Mate (you may know them already so ignore me if you do), they might have something you can use.
