Can anyone tell me where I can pick up some new rivets as the ones I got with my sidesteps semm to have expanded in the box section but are useless the brackets just come of cheers

I buy all mine from ebay. Not so good if you need them now mind.

If you are referring to the ones that fit in the chassis, they are an odd size and landrover part which i believe are not obtainable any more. I used 10mm rivnuts and they are a tight fit but the holes in the brackets are for 8mm bolts I re drilled them to 10.5 mm and used 10mm allen screws. they just fit.

You need rivnuts the same size as the hole they are going into. 10 mm O/D in a 12 mm hole is no good.

I think the size I've got are correct they come with the steps and the so called special tool a length of steel with a hole drilled in it I've fitted 2 of the rive nuts they seem to have tightened ok but will try get hold of some 12 mill ones as well give them a try

10mm rivnuts have a 10mm thread inside. dependent on load requirement the o/d can vary

Load requirement I'm only fitting them for the other half to step into the car may av to uprate them bolts will chec the threads an fit when I get the new rivnuts cheers

12 mm might be a bit large. You need to measure the hole they are going in and get the O/D size for that hole.

Just measured the hole in chase I'm sure there 12 mill holes an the Pratt I got the steps of have sent 10 mill rivnuts cheers again for the help
