What size bolts are the where the turbo downpipe meets the exhaust downpipe and are there any special nuts and bolts to buy for the heat. Thanks.

from memory, they are M12 * 40 - I fitted A4 stainless allen headed, and I think thats what they were/are. - originals were studs and nuts IIRC.

might be worth having a nosy in that german parts catalogue at

http://www.allbrit.de

M12 seems quite big but I could be wrong. just had a look on that website and the one thing they don't show on the pic of the exhaust is the nuts

I'm guessing M10 , but don't have that model so can't be sure.
I don't have that engine either. On mine the turbo downpipe goes into the exhaust, and there is a clamp with one big bolt and nut through it. About fifty mm long xM12, at a guess. There are also some phildas nuts that hold the turbo onto the manifold.
From his description 300Tdi setup must be very different. Unforunately, I cant offhand think of anyone I know that has one. Some of my mates have 200, and some Td5, cant think of a 300 at all.

OP, can you post any pics showing exactly the nuts you mean?
