shock horror praise for my local stealer

So I had need to order a new key for the old girl so i pop along to my local stealer, now I know it was gonna be expensive and after producing 2 forms of ID and the v5 and parting with £172 of my hard earned money they orders me a new key.

I went to collect it and do you know it didn't work the key was wrong and the zapper wouldn't code, opppppps I said yes they said let's try again and order another one.

So I go in last week my 2nd new key has arrived its fits the lock it codes oppps its knocked out my key now I had a conversation with them about key 1 and 2 and not knowing which I had and that they should properly order a key 3

Let's try again they say yes say I so I go back today a new key 3 is waiting, it unlocked the car it codes and doesn't knock out my existing key, wonderful says I, here you go sir keep the first key 1 on us for all the trouble

Gob smacked am I, speaking in yodo talk I am, I know have 2 new keys

Bit of faffing around but a right result there, mind you the key was no bloody good to anybody else , good result

They possibly gave you the key because they probably cost about £5.00 to make before the profit and VAT is added.

More likely if the motor was subsequently nicked plod would look very hard at them for it ....

Charming, bet it costs the Stealers two toots on a ragmans trumpet and a goldfish for a new key, they've got to pay for their fancy workshop and "fitters" somehow.

I could make the FOB for about £20 if the code chip were available outside the motor trade. I think if one had the time it could be replicated with one of the modern microprocessor chips, but programming would be the problem.
HUFF charge stealers an arm and a leg for the FOB, then add stealer mark up & VAT
