I've got a leaking oil seal on the front diff. Looking on ebay they range from about £2 to £25....... I just want one that'll not leak and last well. Are there any to avoid or specifically look for?

Any particular oil for the diff? I was going to drain and replace it at the same time.

Diff - EP90.

As far as seals go, i tend to use whatever my suppliers carry as OEM. Avoud the blue box parts and anything that far down the food chain, and look for Corteco, Timken or some name brand and quality.

I suspect the 25-quid ones are "brand name" parts from a main stealer.

Another vote for 'Corteco' brand seals here. I replaced bearings and seals on both my axles just before Christmas and so far all is well.

Cheers,

I managed to pick up a genuine one for a fiver :)

Will pick up some EP90 in next couple of days and sort. Will replace oil in rear one at the same time as I need to sort a small leak in the casing too. Then no leaks again other than a slight one from the steering box.
