Despite searching I can't find anything.

I am looking at fitting door light switches to the A Posts so the interior light works with them, I just can't see where they go.

There isn't any holes for wiring in the A Posts for any switches to go, how would you get wiring to the inside if the A Post anyway?

I am certain this has been done before by people but couldn't find any advise.

Below is a photo of what I have.

I would peel the carpet back and have a look behind, should be just below the door check strap.
Wiring is fed from engine bay side of bulkhead and down bulkhead pillar.

Here's mine...

As above, pull back your carpet a bit

Is that the correct place for them or have they been retro fitted?

Do you have a photo of them?

Fairly sure it's not the standard place as they were fitted as part of the alarm system, but they work well enough. It's dark out so you'll have to wait for some pictures :p

Have been scaring myself with a look through my dismantling pics.

As Aaron said, standard place is just under door check strap. pic 1

And I think pic 2 is where the cable came out on the curve of the door post. Thought I'd photographed everything so I knew what was what anorl

Not looking forward to putting the electrickery bits back
