Drivers door window

Hi, My drivers side window clonks (like teeth slip) on full up position. It is saying that the window has not been set, I have tried to set it but it will not set, all the other windows work properly (so did this one until now). any ideas.

New regulator needed. You can set the window by closing it on to a block of wood.

Just about to start a thread on exactly this myself! Mine does this and has been 'not set' for a while, but still worked okay. In the past couple of weeks it has started slipping down a bit (noticeable by a wind whistle). It can then be pushed back up into the frame. Seems to be a bit lower at the front maybe. I've had the door to bits but stopped at drilling the rivets out. If I do this can it then be screwed back in?

In the past couple of weeks it has started slipping down a bit (noticeable by a wind whistle). It can then be pushed back up into the frame. Seems to be a bit lower at the front maybe. I've had the door to bits but stopped at drilling the rivets out. If I do this can it then be screwed back in?

You also need a new regulator, I re-fit with stainless bolts rather than rivets, saves time when it needs to be changed again.

No realistic, and the regulator is separate from the outstation

Dont use britpart regulators, they dont fit that well & the teeth will wear down in no time.

Think I'll take it to bits again and see which one I need

Should just be a case of re-cyling the window once fitted to set.

Where are they from, probably n/s and o/s part numbers

CVF100740 is R/H CVF100750 is L/H. The cheaper after market ones are made from cheese.

I had the same problem but found that the nylon stop blocks had come unsrewed and fallen off and the window winder fram had cracked and the teeth were jumping when in the up position so renewed the wider mechanism and kept the old one as i think it could be wealded.

I removed the winder an all I needed to do was tighten the gear meshing and it now works fine, even the setting, fitted bolts instead of rivets, as you say it is much easier if need to be removed again. Thank again all, another job done.lol
