There's a seller on ebay offering aftermarket new "OE style" steering wheels for the 300tdi, but they state "not SW" (which ours is)

Did the Station Wagon have a different steering wheel? My friend has a 300tdi hard top and the steering wheel looks the same.
Is it a different mounting?

Just fitted a 12" Mountney to my 2.4 Defender, straight on no adaptor required, just thought I'd share (hope the photo attached)

Looks nice.

But it seems that my 1997 Defender SW has a different mounting.

Land Rover can supply a new one....for £285+VAT lol

There's a guy on Ebay offering brand new "army surplus" 300tdi steering wheels for 75 quid.

I ordered one (his listing says "over 10 available") it arrived and is indeed a brand new soft touch 48 spline 300tdi steering wheel....perfect!

I bought this one locally as a package deal. It sits a bit higher but I will machine a spacer and place the wheel below the hub instead of on top of the hub/boss.

Its a bit skinny but smaller than the stock one. I will give it a wrap to make it a bit more fatter and will use it until I get a Momo.

Love the one the one Glasgie posted, really sweet.

Some guys here use the later model of the original Mini nom BMW ones.

Just realized the one you installed is the same manufacturer for the one I have, looks like the same hub/boss too.

If you dont mind, where did you buy that, any links?

Thanks.

Yeah l saw the Britpart one, but if you read the description it's listed as "Defender 90,110,130, 300tdi except S/Wagon"

I called two suppliers (Craddocks and an ebay one) and both told me it "would not be suitable" for my 1997 300tdi CSW but they couldn't tell me why.

Does the CSW one have a different number of spines?
Could it be the cover that goes round the ignition?

Can you take off your current wheel to show us?
