Seen a Landy for sale with an observation hatch in the roof, any ideas?

Hi all, I'm thinking of swapping my old Landy 90 for a nearly new one, as I'm not very practical at repairs and just want a reliable one that doesn't need much tinkering!

The one I've seen for sale has an observation hatch in the roof , it says for shooting and country sports. I've been to look at it and it's a tidy job, but the garage couldn't give me any more info and the sales guy said it may be a factory fit- do LR fit these at factory?
Anyone else got experience of these? It looks ok but I wouldn't use it, and would probably need a need roof panel if it gets leaky?
Any thoughts much appreciated.

If it looks ok and is sealed and locks nicely i wouldnt be too worried.

don't know if you can buy them from the factory like that but there's quite a few round here with hatches used for shooting. Not an issue really so long as it's a tidy job and doesn't leak.

These hatches would not be seen on vehicles still on the production assembly line but Land Rover has a department called Special Vehicle Operations that could handle it easily. Could be a good mod for Ed China of Wheeler Dealers, if you have seen him driving a sports car you will know what I mean.
If you do buy this vehicle you will be able to park in some very narrow parking spaces !
Or transport the occasional sapling or fruit tree.
