Replaced all the airbags today. One front & one rear quite bad, so surprised they were still working !!

No welding rod available, so made clip-hook from old paint roller handle !!

worst part was removing front mud flaps . . . .screws rusted beyond redemption, and metal inside the rubber flaps all rusty. Time to replace flaps.

Why did you remove mud flaps. Front bags can be done without removing arch liner. Takes a bit longer to do it and a bit of a fiddle, but quicker than removing arch liner if you had problems with mud flaps.

Yes I was going to do the job with liners in place, but mud flaps were keeping loads of horrid wet gunk in place ready to rust the sills, so took them off to clean. also cleaned behind liners, etc.

Outer air-bag clip looked quite difficult to reach as well ? . . . . .but maybe in 7 years or so, the bags will get changed without liners :)

Got to admit I took my liners out and it was dead quick in and out. Don't remember mud-flaps though. Maybe they'd already been removed or my budget model doesn't come with them.

New weird behaviour . . . . EAS now works really well when driving, with compressor definitely running less than before, but . . . When parked it will often raise all four corners a least an inch or two. When I start the car it drops back to Normal Height straight away. Changes to highway height correctly either side of 50mph as well.

Can't be the self-levelling, because I have relay to disable that when ignition is switched off.

So I guess leaky valve or two in block, but wondering if anyone can guess which ??

Self levelling only drops the corners it can't raise them. When weight is removed from the car it should level for 20 seconds back to standard if that is what is set. Having the delay relay disconnected with ignition off will cause the suspension to raise slightly when you get out. But that should only be at one side. If it is all four corners going up maybe the inlet valve is leaking high pressure air into the pressure chamber, sealed at the other end by the exhaust valve and from there it is forcing past the solenoid valves into the bags.
