New to site, Live in Nairn Scotland far far North . Seem to have inherited my sons Defender Landy resurection project ( He's just left it behind after moving down to Glasgow) its aged around 1985 Turbo'd but the dreaded 19j engine.... Its a good looker with Knobbly tyres lifted suspension, galv chassis, full roll bars and snorkley/ spots etc and must previously have done a fair bit of offroading . So far I've had the engine out , fully re-furbed, had head re-worked ( pre-ignition pots done, head skimmed , bores honed , new bearings, rings, clutch done, starter motor, wiring harness for engine, Gearbox checked over, prop shaft new joints etc new floors, and alloy floor plates and its got new seats:).

Now I know everyone will say swop for a TDI 200 but I've done the work so want to see it running . I've been trying to get the beast to fire up again and I'm struggling with fuel supply and heater plug power supply:eek:, as Ive not previously had experience of Landy diesel engines , hence joining to see if someone can help me trouble-shoot the issues:rolleyes:.
