fitted one of these to my landy the other week, awesome piece of kit, gearbox feels miles better and selects gears every time, just thought I would share it with you guys

A short throw shifter then, they are nice

I also have one from syncro and they are great makes it a lot easier to select the right gear

Im also interested in these. But how can it make the gear easier to select? My r380 box is quite slack (stick in a pot of grease). But it changes gear fantastic, lovely smooth box.

less movement between gears the throw. moves the pivot point and a spacer makes up the difference. is the lever and fulcrum

theres 2 springs on the selector housing, (one each side) tighten those up and it will be tighter

they are the bias springs ,you have to ensure you keep 3rd 4th alignment not just tighten them down

yeah, thats why I wind them down at the same rate

Yeah we bought and fitted one two weeks ago its great for changing gear and has helped reduce the worn 2'nd gear synchro but will replace the box when we do the chassis swap mite get one off the same guy as he overhaul's gearboxes aswell

no it hasnt it may have reduced wear in the gear lever pivot

i wouldnt just use dexron 3 and change regularly though do your first after 200 miles or so

Yeah, syncro posted a video of it a while ago, looks pretty simple actually. Will see if I can find it.
