my new 2a

Hi all after selling my s3 last year was having serious withdrawl symptons and was really setting my heart on a series 2a .

I found this old girl on flea bay and nicked it for £2000 it is a genuine s2a with s3 wings engine and box and a few other bits .

After a problem with the charging and loads of advice from the lads in the series section its all sorted,theres still a couple of jobs to do .

It needs a rear exhaust box as its blowing ,but its solid with no rot and drives spot on .

The fella i got it from said it was owned by an old boy for over 30 years and he only sold it as he lived down an unmade rd an had trouble driving it .

My plans for it are to return the front end back to a series 2a as ive got the front panel and grill which came with it, a full stainless exhaust ,a new rear load mat and some cab mats seats etc oh and remove the cheqer plates .

I love it to bits

Thanks lads ,inside pics? lol its just took me two hours to upload this lot hahaha i had to remember how to do it hang on ill try and put the link up from fleabay but i'll take some tomorrow and now i know how to do it will upload in the morning .

Just to add ,the seller told me not one person came to veiw it ! loads of messers who arranged to but did'nt show ,oh well i got lucky me thinks .

Yep ive found some panels on fleabay that go where the s3 lights are £110 each so might have to bite the bullet and some nice round wing mirrors .

I had a bloke at the lights ask me is it a defender! i said no s2a 1967 mate !!! i know there are lots of moody tax exempt boingys about but come on ya eejit

Thanks crashbox,when shes outside my place i chain her to a lampost with an abus granite chain through the front spring, cut out switch no rotorarm and a granite chain round the steering wheel .

And when its in the garage the granites are chained to two abus u locks concreted in the floor!

Don't pay that for them, you can get them a bit cheaper, PM me when your ready.

It was a late 2a that got me hooked on Land Rovers. It was a 1969 one owner 6 yrs old rag top, not a scratch on it and 13k mls, drove it off road and in a couple of mins my life changed.
