Started to change my gearbox oil earlier today. REALLY needed doing, not even sure when it was last done!
Anyway, got the filler plug and the other drain plug out piece of **** (that drained some of the oil but the 32mm main drain plug is seized solid! I've spent the past couple of hours desperately trying to get a decent 32mm ring spanner with no luck and eventually I bought a cheap 3/4 ring spanner 32mm... Which is just rounding the head off
Wanted to use the truck tomorrow really although I have got a car as well! I've got no means of heating it up and without topping it back up I can't get it to the garage.
How do I know when the right amount of oils in there? Is ot the same principle as the diff where it just dribbles out the filler plug?
