Is it worth me fitting an electric fan to my 1986 2.5 N/A?

Don't really go offroad, or do any towing - but the Kenlowe blurb reckon I'll be getting more MPG, and power from fitting one!

Any increase in power for my lump, would be greatly received!

Is the blurb true, or grollocks?

Thanks

i took my diaphragm out and my 90 gets up to operating temp within 5 mins , hasn't overheated yet.
the mpg saving crap might only be applicable in the winter based on if your engine gets to its full operating temp its then running at maximum efficiency.
