Should the radius arms be flexible, and move when i grab hold of them and move them from side to side?
I'm trying to work out if the bushes have play in them, so what's the best way of doing this if they are flexible, and supose to move?

Yeah thought there shouldn't be any movement. Thanks alot mate
Any idea what there like to change?

havnt done any on these sorry, am under mine tomorrow with changing this hub so ill check it out and tell you what i think would be the easy way to change them as i have a polybush set here so ill be doing the job myself soon.

Cheers mate. anyways i've been thinking (yes again!!!!) i reckon that landrover owners should be charged half the tax and insurance to what we pay now, cuz there always off the bloody road being repaired. but it's all good fun i suppose. The missus has just said that my disco brings a different meaning to "off roading"!!!!!!!!;)

hahaha. just got a new missus who loves me comming in all oiled up and dirty as opposed to the old one who wanted to go for windy walks on sundays etc, sod that a disco is for getting dirty with in one way or another haha

changing them is not hard, you need a big socket and maybe a spanner.

Getting the old bush out is a chalenge, I drilled around the rubber do the middle fell out then used a hac saw to cut the outer metal ring out of the radius arm. If you get new poly bush type to replace it, then it is very easy to slide in.

Yeah i'm in the process of doing them, right little buggers int they!
I ended up getting the standard ones, cause needed to get the bushes as soon as i could, to get on with it. Starting to regret it now!!!:D

Thanks for your very useful advice, makes it reasonably easy getting the old ones out that way.

You are best of poping down to the local garage and getting them to press the new one in. They will have it done in seconds with a press.

The bushes can be a bit tight. It probably needs to be a heavy truck garage. "Normal" passenger car garages do not usually have a press big enough. It took 40 tons (metric) to press the bushes out of my old RRC's radius arms. However, with a press big enough it took only about 10 minutes to get all of the bushes out. Much easier than a drill and a hacksaw. :)

And the sound of the bush popping out? Eh... outstanding bang. I thought the whole arm exploded into tiny pieces... :D
