hard ride what to check?

I was just thinking that the ride on my car is quite hard at the front, the front suspension does not give, rear air appears to be fine.

Were there alternate springs available? Or could it be shocks? How about tyres?

I will check pressure first.

Doesn't bother me but a bit hard for my wife.

I have read that it is not ACE

Yes, there's a few aftermarket options (perhaps even LR ones). you might have a set of heavy duty springs fitted..

My D2's ride is a bit harsh, but it certainly has harder springs than my friend's D1's - just by rocking the car via the roof bar you can tell MKine used to have the ACE system and airbags at the rear; bypassed ace and coils fitted some time before I bought it.

Getting in and out it seems soft enough and a ride in a D1 was not harsh, but the kit car D1 a friend has is harsh.

I do need new front tyres reasonably soon, wil check the springs then and see if anything noticable about them.
