I've had the dashboard apart again to investigate why the passenger windscreen wiper had ceased working. It turned out that the gear wheel was rotating on the spindle. It's a new one so I was a little disappointed. I put the least bad of the old ones back on and it's working again now. I'll sort the loose one out with a hammer and punch and it can serve as a spare.

Adjusted my drivers side mirror and checked coolant.

For some reason the temp gauge goes to hot for no reason and then drops down again! I've changed the stat and the sender with no difference!

Mine did that was a dodgy earth in the end.

mate's did this after a clutch swap.
turns out we'd missed refitting the chassis to engine earth strap by the starter.

Rear number plate was falling off,so pulled it off,cleaned it up and put on new sticky rubber,and stuck it back on.Anouther little job out of the way.

engine removal

Took my radiator out and dropped it off to get recored up in darlington. Hopefully be ready for collection tomorrow

Painted and fitted the bulkhead. Still unsure on the colour though.

No dramas Greyhair, its costing me 135 quid and comes with 2 years warranty. Its from 2 old boys in Darlington called Clearflow Radiators.

Hopefully collect it today and i'll let you know how I get on.

Seems the better option rather buying a cheap replacement.
