Anyone know what this is off? Just found it under the Defender, having just gone out for some PTFE tape .. It wasn't there before, it looks like it was on or in somethingrecently 'cos the outside has a bit of rust and inside has cleaner bits! I can't find a nut or hole missing a bolt .. It's quite large, I'd guess something like 34mm across flats, 1 1/4 ish maybe ..

It ain't from the underside or engine area .. that I can see .. which has me a little worried!! ;)

Not wading plug, sump, gearbox drain .. I can't see anything it could be so far! I reckon the wife's takin' the p!ss ...

FOUND IT .. Crank pulley bolt!! Last one of those I removed took two hefty fellas and a 3 or 4' long bar to undo it. Think I need to check most bolts on it now!! ;)

Heh, very odd .. size is about 41.3 mm so 1 5/8" ish .. ;)

1 5/8" socket £27 .. after 30% discount .. 3/4 drive and a BFO pipe with the Defender in gear, cdl on, handbrake on and chocks .. and some Threadlocking adhesive .. job's a good un .. :)

So pleased that happened at home and the bolt was just laying there .. dunno how much I'd have cried if it happened last weekend .. :)
