What did you do with your Range Rover today

Changed the gearbox transmission fluid and filter. Thank you Saint for the how-to, I probably wouldn't have tackled this job without it. In the end, its quite an easy job. Torx "allen" keys make getting the difficult to reach bolts straightforward.

Next thing is the cam cover gaskets, which having sat under the car for most of the afternoon, are leaking pretty badly.

Attempted to change front bags. Got one done! It took me about half an hour to find the car key. Then the next job was find the wheel brace. Another 20 mins of swearing ensued. Found it but no socket on it. So decided to work around the wheel. By this Time the heavens opened. One was not amused! Anyway carried on got the old bag out easy enough. Putting new one in is a bit awkward. Tis is when u need wheel out of the way! Almost I'm possible to line up the D. So to make it easier I locked steering the other way. BAD mistake! Jack slipped off chassis and destroyed my jack! Bottle jack was under front axle but I undid the nut to far and all the fluid etc poured out. 2 jacks fooked in a minute. Borrowed neighbors to get bottom pin in. Tidied up cold wet and miserable! 2 hours later.

I'd recommend to take wheel and arch liners off for the front ones, makes it so much easier, you may agree

You don't need to take liners off. But the wheel is highly recommended!

topped up clutch reservoir giving me a firmer pedal
and as usual looked at it and drove it

Hope you weren't working under there with just a jack!

Sympathise with the cold & wet - it ALWAYS p*sses down when I need to work on the cars...

I have done nothing with my RR since I sorned it last december as I have been soaking up the sun and heat in Australia but I will be back in the UK end of march and first job will be a new screen and MOT and get it ready for some more travelling dont know where yet but Morocco sounds good and hopefully Iran but I dont think I will have enough time this year
Hope that the Ukraine problems dont cause any hassles with Russian Visas

Survived a trip round Woburn safari, and I followed another p38 round most of the way!

Developed a leak in the pipe from top of rad to header tank. Fitted new pipe section from Britpart & must say, i'm impressed with the quality. Much better than the part i had on.

I fitted some rear interior lights with added map lights. Only to realise after I was done I put them on the wrong sides. Which was awkward.

replaced rear light bulb and found that washers arent working think i have a gremlins in the machine cos it wouldnt start yesterday and today it would but took a while to start even with a fully charged battery might need new glow plugs

Today I changed my 2" lifted springs for normal motorway high springs what a difference that's made very pleased took 2.5 hours so not that bad. Broke a drag link tho so need a new one but other than that went well.

a couple of months ago i changed the water pump and thermostat, i already had a new genuine pump but i could only get an after market stat, now ive noticed a bit to much pressure in the hoses,so today stuck a genuine stat in, on comparissen the genuine stat has a much bigger opening (when open) than the no make stat, hopefully ive bled it right out, ill check it tomorrow on a run, ive also been running without my viscous fan on for a while and everything seems to be ok, i dropped the fan when doing the pump and snapped a blade off and then it really ran out of balance so i snapped another two blades off like in a Y shape and it stopped wobbling the engine around, datatek advised me it would inevitably ruin the water pump again, so i took his advice and it off as im going to do his A/C fan conversion

After participating in the thread about 'remapping' and saying 'my car is fine' - I broke down and had to call RAC
Would not restart (in b&q car park) but RAC man bypassed ignition to start it and I drove home. He said I would have same problem because no feed to starter. After a search I came across a thread that said about starter/eas fuse and sure enough it was blown. After replacing, RR started but wanted to know why a 40 amp fuse would blow. Suddenly noticed eas pump getting hot but not running. Opened it up and piston shaft had broken. New pump on its way (not a recon - I've been that route). Matrix seals next, slow leak on carpet
