wing intake cut out

hey guys im about to fit a safaristyle snorkel to my defender.... first job isto cut the hole in the wing..... can anyone tell me the dimensions on exactly where to cut this hole or where i can get a stencil? i

Try the manufacturer. The fact that you say Safari Style means it could be any size. If I were you I'd be thinking about getting a later wing. with the vent in it..

Measure the pipe and then cut a hole the same size

i need to cut the same hole as a tdi wing would have i have all the tdi fittigs to go on the inside as well so ined the same shape and hole in the right place

Nope.. the vent panel is inset into the wing. and the pipework to the air box is completely different.

what do you nean inset?? theres a shaped duct on the inside to fit around the heater box wich bolts onto the wing on the inside... wich is what i need to cut the hole to fit for and the snorkel mates to this on the out side with its own bolts further out.... thats right isnt it??

The hole is punched into the wing, So it has a lip all the way round slightly inset below the level of the wing. It is this lip that the normal vent cover fastens to. And it has the holes that the snorkel bolts too. You also need a couple of rivnuts fitting in as well.
