Door mirror glass that actually fits?

OK, I could buy genuine LR, but was trying to save a few pennies.

Heaters not working on mine. Voltage is present on connectors so presumably the elements have failed.

Bought some new ones from fleabay, which have turned out to have small spade connectors so the heater wires keep falling off.

But worse than that, I can't get them to clip in (and have cracked one trying ). Old ones go back in with no problems at all. Clips in the mirror housing are not broken (bought a spare pair of new ones just in case)

Can anyone recommend some glass which will actually fit.

Car is a late Vogue with memory mirrors and dimming mirrors. Assume glasses have been replaced before as the dimming connectors were unconnected and tucked up inside (glasses in there had no connectors for dimming).

Go to Island-4x4.

I made the same mistake. Island are only £11 for normal heated ones. If you want the flash dimming ones you're looking at 10 times that!

Buy a plastic clip to hold it as well as they're only £1.66 and you're bound to break it.

Might as well get your service parts at the same time because they're charging a minimum of £5 postage these days. On the upside it arrives PDQ.

All done - looks like they're supplying Britpart ones. I noticed at least one other post also recommending Island4x4

Interesting you had the same problem. Fleabay supplier says he's sold 30 and only one other person has had the same problem - seems a bit unlikely to me. Having cracked one, it's not really worth returning the other - should have asked here first. Funny how "saving" money can sometimes cost you more - live and learn...

Yes, the parts are Britpart but they clicked together beautifully for me.

The pattern (heated) glass I bought off Island4x4 fitted perfectly - cost about a tenner if I remember rightly.

No feedback left by me yet either. Probably won't bother. Depends what response I get having told him I've bought some others - that actually fit!

yes, still £10+VAT. Arrived quickly & fitted perfectly. Just in time for some proper cold stuff.

I like heated mirrors - always good to be able to see behind you in one of these when reversing
