fitted the light bar I was given- yet to wire up
wired the Lexus brake light switch in on temp bracket so gear lever lock unlocks on brake pedal push

thought about cruise control
Wired up mil and power light - need a project box for mounting

finally connected the diff lock light wiring

Just quickly fitted a new ceramic electric heater, couldn't find anywhere to mount it so thought I would try it there. No sure its going to work. My thinking is it will blow hot air towards the windscreen on a cold morning. If any one has come up with a better place to mount one of these I would be very pleased to see it.

What about between the seats on the bulkhead facing up? That's where I'd put mine, if I didn't have a centre seat that is. I wouldnt mind getting one as they look the next best option besides a FBH but I've got a truck cab so am a bit tight for space. Plus my heaters work anyway :D

Might it cook the headlining and interior light there? I bet you'll get some heat discolouration over a period of time.

Sorry, that sounds really negative. It's not meant to be. You're going to be a lot more comfortable in there wherever it's mounted.

I was torn between the top of the bulk head behind the seats or on the roof. I went for the roof as I thought it would less likely to get damaged there.
My heaters are not very good, I have changed the thermostat three times, removed the viscos fan and fitted an electric one. Tried a rad muff. Flushed out the heater matrix. My engine just doesn't seem to get hot. And I have to drive about 15 miles before the temperature gauge moves off cold.

Would be nice if it throws out that much heat. I could live with the discoloration.

It only took five minutes to fit so if it is scorching the roof (nice) I could then try the top of the bulkhead behind the seats.
 
Fitted the new alternator/pas pump mount bracket I got in today, big thanks to johnlad for helping me out with that bracket ;) you're ever up this way ill buy you a pint or 6. Got everything back together only to realise that the bloody motor factors had given me the wrong alt belt :mad: got to wait till I can walk 3 miles to unipart tommorow
 
Had an interesting Mitsubishi on the trailer but forgot my camera

Its a large estate type car with V6 and twin turbos with a massive intercooler under the front bumper, in import I was told, four doors, leather seats very nice.:)
 
as I was working in our nice sunshine again today, cutting more free scrap wood down then bagging it then loading it into my van - oops, disco with the seats folded down,
I lifted the bonnet and had a quick check round of oils - still good, water, screen wash all good.
I then decieded to give my twin batteries a charge with my smart charger.
OK, my old disco always starts, but what the heck, I was there, so I connected it.
must say it was fascinating when going back and checking the input rate at times.
really does vary while its "smart function" was operating.
time was up to go and deliver my "van load" of bagged cut wood, so charger, lead, & tools all put away and....................

disco just started as It always does - bless it..

i loaded mine with pallets to have a nice fire only to come home to a drive way full of wood, that my friend had to move and thought, "rob likes to burn stuff" so he dumped it on my drive :eek:
 
I spent even more cash trying to keep her alive and well... replaced a
Sensor that was broken whilst doing a cylinder head last month. New tyres on
Monday!
