Recall Information, second hand car check

Hi,

is there a way of checking if recalls have been done on a second hand car i.e. Range Rover 53 plate, would it be to ring local Land Rover dealer and give them the reg number would they be able to tell ??

If you ask them nicely, your friendly Land Rover approved dealership should be able to check for you. After all a data base would save Land Rover from paying out twice for any such work done on the same vehicle. You could also make the inquiry yourself direct to Land Rover, if you phone ask to be connected to the Service Department.
