Morning Folks, just stumbled across your forum while doing some research on this little gizmo I invented about three years ago....so please be forewarned that this is really nothing more than a self-serving, money whoring capitalistic advert on my part :)D ). Well, that's actually not quite true since I've owned about twenty five different 4x4's since the early 70's....but no LR's yet. Real pricey over here, especially for the early ones. Anyways it just came to my attention from a sailing pal of mine in the UK that a lot of your trucks use the B/W electrically shifted P38 t-case, which is very similar to the 13/56's, 13/54's and the 4000 series that our Fords use. The Shiftster is an inexpensive and simple manual replacement for the electric shift motors (which I notice are twice the cost over there than they are here---yikes!). We've sold about 700 units worldwide so far, but now we're in the process of ramping up both production and our marketing. Which is why I registered here. We sell these here in the Northern Hemisphere for $65.00, shipped....but I've sent some out your way to some of the SsangYong owners and the additional shipping was only another twelve bucks or so. Anyways, please forgive my intrusion but I'm honestly hoping that my little goody may be of use to some of you. Here's a couple of links to our website and Youtube video.....:D

I understand completely, Wolf. Though ya gotta admit that my product is probably of more use to you guys than say a leather Herme's handbag or a pair of Nike shoes, yes?....:D. But I'd be more than happy to send one over to you guys (on the house) so that you could maybe give it a look-see & a test drive----or even do a little forum contest/giveaway thing? I do that a lot over here on the Ranger, Bronco and Explorer forums, and it's proven to be a good way for me to get the word out....plus to help out those who are tired of screwing around with their Shift On The Fly systems. Just say the word and I'll glady fly one over to the Admin....:rolleyes:

Ah see now youre talking. I've got a Defender myself so its not much use to me but PM one of the admin, Blue Beasty if you can find him, and tell him what youre all about and see what he thinks

Yeah, we get that a lot. Which is why my wife and I just bought ten acres of dirt in BFE Arizona. Can't do one more year here in Cali or I'm gonna end up on the ten o'clock news. This place has just become un-frickin-bearable to live in, as the The Fun Police have finally succeeded in their mission of turning this state into a nunnery.....:rolleyes:

Why?????????????? when what is there as factory installed last for so long? Don't see a demand for it as I have seen several hundred thousand miles with out a failure 300k miles on a GMC 3/4 ton and 200k on a ford f350 without failure.

Hocus pocus........It is spam, piece of **** Were is the Mods? But lets us have fun for a day first:violent::D

I live in Colorado, which is greatly influenced by the influx of fruits and nuts from the Sunshine State.

I used to bash about the mountains of Oregon in International Harvesters.

And I have to know, are you in gold country in Arizona? I'm a part time prospector. My first claim will be named after my Land Rover. :)

International Scout Mid 70's. been modified to become a highway driver or drive on a sandy beach. not a street/off road vehicle as was intended.

Scout II Traveler (1976–1980): This version had a removable fiberglass hardtop, optional third row of seats (118 in wheelbase).

She's actually a 'Traveler'. Eighteen inches longer than the Scout II, completely different top (fiber glass instead of steel, much better lines, one piece lift-up rear gate). Only made from '76 thru early '80. This is my third one and eleventh International. Big fun for the money. I paid $1200.00 buck for this, found a rebuilt 345 for another hundred and probably don't have more that two grand into her total. Runs like a striped assed-ape.....:D

Twelve miles east of Pearce, five miles west of the Chiricahuas. And yes, a good sailing friend of mine ( who pulls gold and meteorites out of his back yard in Northern Cali) says I'm in gold country. In fact he's gonna loan me an older Goldbug of his so I can poke around in the two arroyos that go thru our property.....
