Bonnet Lock

Could I have some recommendations on how to secure my bonnet please? Mine does not have any form of lock or even bonnet release. Pics if possible.

Hi, sorry, I should have been clearer. I already have two of those and the bonnet has a slam lock in the centre.

What I meant is that there is no way of physically locking it - I would like some sort of push lock with a key. I don't want a release inside.

ahhhh i see!!! didnt the early 90 and 110 slam panels have a lock on them?!

Replace the barrel, you need to be careful as extension needs keeping for New barrel

I don't have a barrel of any form of lock. It's ex-mod so I guess they don't bother.

I would be interested to, I have an ex-mod azwell.

A lockable pin from the slam of so up through the dash might work, with suitable reinforcement

That's exactly the same as my current lock - non existent

Cheers, I can see how it works now. I don't have a hole for the lock though. It looks like the look fits into threaded hole. I'll have a closer look.

The other week when I went shopping (unusual for me) and when I returned to the Landy, it had a mate around:

Rather tasty series. I was well impressed with the padlock arrangement on the bonnet - nice and simple. Don't know if this is standard (optional) fit for a series or not but it suits it. Don't think it would work for the defender with the grill though.

The hole isn't threaded from memory, it is on a large but and possibly slotted hole in panel

I've just been out and snapped mine. Mind you, I don't have a key, so it's not much use. Don't think there's a big demand for the 2.5D anyway!
