Hi guys,

Does anyone know where this water is coming in from? You see that drop, on the head liner? That's the white bit. ;) This photo is take with the car stationary, so wind pressure has not had any play. Just plain rain. Magen I drive off there's quite a lot of it, sometimes dripping all over the dash as I turn right. If left stationary it drips into the floor and so forth.

Thanks!! :)

mate i would start at the furthest point because in my experience with leaks its always the last place you check.

It will always be the last place you check, you don't find a leak and keep on looking afterwards...

You lot are so simple sometimes

Look in the last place first :D

The seals gone somewhere between the roof and gutter on the outside and as said appears in the gutter on the inside....loose rivits will do it.

I layered my gutter on the outside with gutter sealent (nasty black sticky stuff) which works but needs redoing occasionally.

Pikey cured his by drilling a small hole at a downwards angle from the inside at the back corners of the gutter

Now there's an idea! Why didn't I think of that! :D

Ah! Excellent! I shall check all those rivets and such thingiemabobs. I have silicone sealant and I'm not afraid to use it!
Thanks! :D

I had the same leek ,it was the roof seals . had them done in the summer with a roof respray and now no leak there and it has been raining hard Cornwall .
Forgot to say the water ran down the inside gutter , it looks the same as your problem

what rivots?mines piddling in anorl already sealed the gutter with tiger seal

dont think the fenders have rivets above the doors/on the roof cant see any on mine
No rivets on me 90. but there are seams in the roof that leak. As a cheap quick fix I find greenhouse tape is very good.
I have drilled little holes in the corners of the gutters too, seems to keep the flow in one place at least.

No rivets on the roof, it was spot welded to the internal strengthening ribs. Only rivets are where the vertical section at the back of the roof is attached to the actual roof itself, the big above the door.

Not that I can think of. I don't have the hard top on mine so I'm just going from memory but I think the gutter was one piece with the ally skin. Hm to be honest I'm doubting myself now actually

The seams with the internal ribs are what leaks on mine. Tape sorts it.
Some of the earlier 90s have raised ribs like a series. Think these were better meself, if I saw a good roof like that I would use it.

Ah! Thanks! Changing the roof seals..? How? Is it merely a matter of raising the roof a bit or does it have to come off completely? Is it difficult? Cheers!
