The first series of lanes we wanted to do were all close together, we where on our way to the first lane decending a narrow B road(yellow road on a map) and where suddenly faced with this
DSC_0059_zps12fdba4a.jpg

A steep drop of around 30 degrees with a soil, scree base. Ive never seen anything like it! A concreted B road that just stopped and disappeared.
After inspecting we decided not to descend as the road was severly washed out and further down a large step had appeared.

We carried on to some more 'used' lanes but still had to do some pruning

This lane, after getting past the encroaching fauna turned into a couple of tight switch backs with some loose rocks.

A miniature drama evolved and sapped us of at least 2 hours of laning time

anyway tractor moved and obstacles legally abated we carried on:

Some more switch backs as the gradient got steeper, in the 110 we needed a few shunts  no photos of that though so here is Emma doing it in style :D

The infamous Last lane  We ignored the golden rule here and paid the price. Very over grown and in need of attention.

DSC_0149_zps3fbdee41.jpg

And washed out on the bottom section too, some very skilful driving followed from everybody in order to stay upright and not cause any more damage to the
lane.

Who wants to be in the city when you have views like this with great lanes :)
DSC_0175_zpseb7f5f81.jpg

The trouble with taking photos and watching people through tricky sections is how do you get through to the front to get back to your car :confused2:

DSC_0176_zps50f4e3cc.jpg

Nope this didnt work either!
DSC_0177_zps80c0a1cc.jpg

Thats your lot people, i am all out of photos :)

Enjoy.

The tractor is exactly where I thought it was, last time I drove it there was the round black bales where the pick up was parked. And before that a silage trailer parked across the entrance.
Great photos and thanks again for the days laning

Well next time I drive that lane i'll be going by the bottom to see what he's parked there before committing myself in future.

Great pics BGB - why doesn't it never look as butt clenching in the pics?

It was good fun, and I would definitely do it again...

Ace photos BGB thanks for loading those :D that sneaky 'little' ravine looks so innocent ;)

Tis weird that ...the down hill , past the tree bit on the first day seemed more like a game of 'spin the wheel' to me , but looking at the photos , it just seems like a gentle decent ...nothing to say i was hurtling towards the back of BGB wondering how i was going to stop with out killing Ian who had got out at the top to watch me come down ...

Some awsome pics guys and gals, it is wierd how that severe lean down the last lane looks quite tame in the pics i was proper scared of tipping over lol

Oh so he has previous for doing it then?! I take it back then about him maybe just being ignorant  what a ####!

I think a letter to the ROW officer at the council could be in order or even an email to the police liaison officer???

Here is the link to the PhotoBucket album, there isnt many more but there might be people who want the ones that are slightly similar.

Try this:

What was i trying to say when i wrote that??? Waffle, absolute waffle!

I think some new routes are in order for the next one. These seem to be too easy for you all now.

Yes definitely, spent last night at work looking on MM and reckon Kingsbridge has some to offer. Pm or text if your down to do recon, being shift work I get days off mid week if it helps.
