got a p38,suspension was fine yesterday.wont work today.compressor is going like mad but no lift.
I have read the search links and looked online for seal kits.
there appears to be two
1 with piston and seal
2 quite a lot of different o rings and seals including diaphragm

would I require both kits or just one
thanks

Read it again, use the forum search, been covered at least twice:rolleyes:

Got to love Range Rovers eh! If it was ok and now it's not I would suspect a catastrophic fail rather than something wearing out. If she was on her bump stops I would suspect a split air bag. Try the thumb technique over the compressor intake to make sure that's functioning properly, you should feel suction. Secondly chech hose connections to the air tank under the car from the compressor to make sure there are no leaks. A squirty bottle with washing up liquid and water works well for this. Have a good look under the car with it running and listen for air leaks. Don't be tempted to bin the air suspension for coil springs :)

In answer to your question lol - the kit with multiple o-rings is for the valve block. The kit with a main seal and piston is for the compressor.

Not really a full suspension service ! but your question regarding kits is all you will possibly need is the teflon seal and reed o ring kit to refurb compressor and very easy to do about 30 mins.

The o ring and diaphragm kit for valve block is a little more time consuming but not hard if you follow instructions covered on here somewhere.

Follow Wammers how to guide before you buy anything.

Kurt Johnson member on here will supply you with new compressor and valve block for small money should you choose not to refurb

Good Luck

Most likely it's an air suspension bag that has failed causing compressor failure. Forget your O rings for the moment and check the aibags, if they are original it's likely one or more have failed and they can go suddenly.

brief update
fired it up and suspension didn't move.
drove a mile or so pressed the up button and it went up with car ticking over.
knocked the engine off
went back 20mins wouldn't go up or down again, drove back by the time I got home it was working fine both up and down.
I have left it in the highest position to see if a corner drops.

The best would be to remove the EAS relay (under the passenger seat) and let it be like this all night, the morning after you will then be able to see which corner is down.

Sounds like a leak on the storage side.

If it stays up overnight with just minimal drop for self levelling. But when the engine is started drops and fails to rise for a time. NRV 1 is leaking and certainly NRV 2 has failed. NRV 1 holds pressure within the tank. NRV 2 prevents air from the bags flowing back into an empty tank. If it takes more than 10 mins to rise either compressor is weak or the diaphragm is leaking.

what will I need to repairs the nrv valves and where will I get the repair kits.
also how much
thanks again
