Well i have decided that a richards galvanised chassis is on the cards for the end of the year :-D, what i need to know is what do i tell the DVLA as in registering the chassis change to keep it all legal?
Cheers steve

Depends what options but with td5 crossmember and gearbox crossmember looking about 1500 with delivery and vat

I believe general consensus is to keep the bit of original chassis that has the number on if possible, makes it easier to prove, should the need arise, that the vehicle has just had a replacement chassis.

Oh right how would u stamp the new number on the chassis, but isnt it illegal to have a chassis with no numbers on without registering it?

If you read on Richards site they will stamp the number for you if you send them the correct info/documents

Probably best getting the number stamped on before they galv it. My chassis hasn't been stamped so I'm going to fit a couple of plates with the number on, one where the number should be and another hidden out of sight but where I can still find it.
