Over the last couple of weeks or so I have noticed increased use of that Blue Can knowns as WD40....

It has been used as a Lubricating Oil
It has been used as a Contact Cleaner
It has been used as a Pentrating Oil
It has been used as a Degreaser

etc etc etc....

May I be so bold as to say that the Blue Can WD40 is NOT any of the above - I don't care what the WD40 Marketing people say, it is a Water dispersant and that is all....

What WD40 hasn't advertised to much is their 'Specialist Range' of products which inlude...

Rust Penetrators
Corrosion Inhibitors
Rust Removers
Silicon and Lithium Lubes
Degreasers
and
ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER....

Penetrating & Lithium Lubricants, Silicone Lubricant | WD-40 Specialist

Now why would they release these 'Specialist' products if the Blue Can is so versatile?????

Cos they know that the Original Blue Can WD40 is NOT this wonder product everyone thinks it is....

Undo a 13mm AF nut/bolt you wouldn't use a 1/4" Whitworth socket/spanner....no, you use the right tool for the right job - so when it comes to WD40, pick the right Can for the right job....

When your hands are really oiled up, you know - 10 minutes after starting to open the bonnet - then WD40 is a decent oil dispersant for the hands .. squirt it on, rub away, run water, add normal soap and wash away, job's a good 'un .. ;)

I tried that and it was crap. I use a tub of proper swarfega now and that is the dogs danglies for getting everything off. I was amazed first time I used it

Agree swarfega's better, but sometimes isn't available. Soap and sugar works well too .. :)

I've only got a tub of it cos me mam was fed up me popping round hers with filthy hands and she bought me some lol. Prior to that I used the old fairy liquid and sugar but ill defo be buying more swarfega

Have no wd40 in my wide selection of cans and haven't had for about 10 years, so many better products available.

wd40 is just a thing people remember as the sheit is everywhere, may work for something but not for me, saint:cool:
