P38 Diesel missing and spluttering and cutting out

Last night after replacing my spill pipes I sprayed engine cleaner all over the injectors and rinsed off with water today my car is horrific to drive!! Coughing a spluttering until it cuts outs?
It has an erratic tick over and misses and stalls through the rev range like it’s not got fuel?

Help!!

You should know from all the threads on the subject that P38's and water do not go well together.
Needle lift sensor is on #4 injector, crank sensor is on the bell housing down that side, FIP connector is also where it may have got wet. Just for starters.
If it worked before you washed it, then water ingress into connectors has to be the first thing to eliminate.

Thanks Data, will update later once I leave work :(

I must be lucky datatek I steam my enging bay a couple of times a year with no propblem
But I always steer clear of alternator and fuse box

Last time I jetted my engine it did the same. I parked up and left her overnight, was fine next morning.

Are you sure the leak off pipes are routed corectly?
If its just water why not whilst the weathers so hot leave her sat in the sun with the bonnen open
Should dry it out in a few hours

All sorted, disconnected everything sprayed with silicone water displacer and reconnected and all is fine :)

Thanks :)
