Oh and a divvy bus driver nearly took me out today too! Would have been a record - written off in less than 24 hours.

Looking forward to the pics....bet you cant wait to do all the 'mods' that make it 'YOURS'......

Last week i had 2 people pull out feet in front of me at a junction at 40mph & came round a bend to find some muppet walking in the road....just missed him, all on my local country roads

Been looking into buying a Dash Camera....add that to your list :D

My mate swears by them. Think he found a decent one that you can hardwire in for about £30 quid that resets it's self when the memory is full or something.

I was go to buy one on eBay yesterday but foolishly  looked on you tube at some guy testing them all....

Yeh you guessed it, the one i was going to buy was rated as 'crap'......to be honest i think there was only one out of about 16 that he tested was 'ok'.....

God, wish i hadnt looked :eek:

Not 'state of the art' at £19.99 but it's perfect for my needs.

It was a present from a very good friend - here's a clip of what it can do - the microphone was off that day, and I should have made sure that all the mobiles were removed from the dash to avoid reflections:

Hi, that is the cam i was looking at, as you say 'not state of the art' but more than suitable.....great video...scenery is lovely BUT your driving on the wrong side of the road:eek::D:eek::D

No, no - I was driving on the 'right' side of the road - like everyone else in the Austrian Alps. LOL ;)

You'll see that the clip was 2 minutes long - the camera records in 2 minute clips, continuously. When the memory card is full it continues to record but automatically erases the oldest clip.

I have a card which can hold 8 hours of driving time.

I have it set to start and stop recording using the inbuilt motion detector - and I have it wired to an ignition controlled circuit. The rechargeable internal battery only gives about 3 hours recording.

As soon as I get chance to detail my own car (In between customers - everyone wants it doing in the summer and there is only one of me). I'll set about this one as there are a number of scratches and bumps - not to mention that awesome faded plastic trim. Thats getting the heat gun to it ASAP!

Nice...home at last, just noticed your rear wiper is parked in the wrong position - should be parked further down off the glass and on the rubber strip, does it work ok?

What size is the card SV?

It's a 16GB card - but you don't get any card with it - not at that price.

Like any other digital camera it can take single pictures too. Of course the default setting is video.

There are the usual different quality settings so the higher quality give less recording time.

The clip I posted was the lowest quality setting to get the maximum time on a 16GB card.

There are much, much more expensive ones - that can even put a GPS location on the frame and the car's speed too. But this simple version suits me.

The wiper, I'm glad you noticed that. I wouldn't have known. I thought it was a design fault that meant when I open the rear window it wouldn't shut properly as the wiper stropped it. Just a case of removing the cover undoing a bolt and re positioning you think?

Should be - the usual reason for it is switching on the rear wiper when the back window in frozen and the wiper stuck on the rubber.

If you have the front wipers on the rear comes on automatically if you select reverse, which catches people out.

Right had a look at the wiper since you pointed it out Brack. Im going to take my spanners out later to see if I can correct it. It does work ok.

Gonna attempt to put in my synergy box as it is painfully slow :(
