What have you done to your Freelander today

Replaced brake switch, discovered that none of brake light were working, who knows how long that has been like that. Brake lights work & hey presto, so does the HDC!
 
Stripped the door cards to get the speaker covers of to paint them, its that beige colour interior and the grills were looking rusty so I painted them matt black, done the ones that cover the mirror bolts too, (looks cool) fixed the cigar lighter x2, freelander 1 (they run a seperate circuit), fitted a #### nav for the missus so she can find her way out of our street.

eBay.....just type in HID & you get them in various sizes but i think the 4" is the best as it matches the actual main beam lights & the driving lamps, there are a few different sellers of them & the prices vary greatly BUT they are all the same make of lights....

You get plastic protective covers with them & i am going to fit the black SPI Tint on them to match the other lenses...

They really are very bright:eek:

I noticed the speaker grills on mine had started to look a little rusty. I thought about trying to get a match. Any way you could get a picture of of the door card with the black spray?
 
LOL I still don't have mine but I know it went for an MOT today and failed - then passed. It needed new drop links. Fine now. Advisory on the rear tyres which I knew anyway. Will be replaced in the near to distant future.
 
drained oil, drained coolant, replaced rad top hose as leaking like a sieve, removed oil cooler as some plumb dunk has cross threaded the oil feed hose and knackered the threads, replacement should be here teusday so will have the fun of putting it all back together, replaced air and diesel filters, new oil filter and thats it for today, after i get it all back together will take for a test drive and see if its running any better, at the minute it tops out at between 70/75 mph, oh and its a L series engine in a 98 3 door, Mark

Re the black steering wheel badge, i had bought new centre caps for my wheels from ebay a while back & had one extra, turned out the small badge on the cap was an exact match/size for the steering wheel one:D

Had to be very careful & gently broke away the plastic on the cap till i could safely remove the badge....cleaned the back/fitted new tape & fitted...

You can buy steering wheel badges on ebay BUT they are not the original size.....if you want me to try & find out the ebay sellers details give me a shout:tea:

Just took the undertray off to find out where eggsauce is blowing

Only to find it in fine fettle, apart from the heatsheild has fell off.

Looks like it must be the flexi pipe that's blowing :(
